Frequently Asked Admit Card Questions

WHEN WILL THE ADMIT CARD BE MAILED AND WHAT INFORMATION IS ON IT?

  • The Admit Cards will be mailed October 22-23, 2018 . If it is not received by October 29, 2018, call 1-866-61TACHS (1-866-618-2247).

  • The Admit Card will reflect the test site the student has been assigned as well as the date and time of the exam. The Admit Card will also show the TACHS Number.

  • The Admit Card will be required for entrance into the exam. If the admit card has been misplaced or not received within 4 days prior to the exam, please call 1-866-61TACHS (1-866-618-2247).

  • When the Admit Card is received, the student will need to indicate up to three high school choices on the card, and the parent or guardian must sign it to indicate agreement/consent. At the time of the examination, the student will need to transfer the high school code numbers onto the examination answer document. (Back to Top)

THE ADMIT CARD HAS BEEN RECEIVED BUT THE NAME AND/OR ADDRESS IS INCORRECT. HOW CAN IT BE CHANGED?

  • Changes can be made on the day of testing by correcting the information on your Admit Card and giving it to the test proctor. (Back to Top)

CAN A STUDENT APPLY TO MORE THAN THREE HIGH SCHOOLS?

WHY DID MY STUDENT NOT GET THE TEST SITE THAT HE/SHE WANTED?

  • Every attempt is made to assign you to your requested test site. Otherwise, students are assigned to the nearest test site by home zip code. If you do not live in any of the listed areas, or if you have questions, please call 1-866-61TACHS (1-866-618-2247). (Back to Top)

WHAT IF THE HIGH SCHOOL MY STUDENT WISHES TO APPLY TO OR ATTEND DOES NOT HAVE A TACHS CODE?

  • TACHS code is an indicator that the school does not participate in the TACHS program. You must contact the school directly. (Back to Top)
